What's New! |
|
02/01/2009: Over this last month I have been regularly posting into art community called Renderosity. They allow you to post 1 new image a day and I have now posted around 20 images. I have been using Vue E'sprit for all my new digital art. After a rough start I have fallen in love with it. Also I have a new blog talking about my Vue rendering experiences. Check out the Gallery at: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?user_id=454346 |

01/02/2009: A new blog entry on my first attempts at 3D Digital Nature (Landscapes) using my new Christmas present (Vue E'sprit). Check out the blog. |
|
12/13/2008: I finished the initial 3D model of our house. Go to the projects tab to get a link to it. Check out the other projects I have been working on over the last three years, if you haven't already. Lots of animation, art, 3D models, music, etc. Hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas letter. |

11/30/2008: I haven't been updating the website much the last couple of months because I have been busy putting together a music video. I have been blogging about the process over the last two months. Mostly about my frustration with the process :) In any case, the video's first cut is now out on the web. You can go see it and read about it in my blog. I will be also adding some content in the 3D models, Video and Projects tabs, so, that you won't just see "Coming Soon" on half my website. Also, new holiday pictures are posted using a new technique that utilizes Google's Picasa software over on the family tab. |

9/21/2008: The last couple of weeks I have gotten into animation within Poser. I have built a couple associated with playing musical instruments. I will probably create a whole group of these and then "shoot a video" instead of just the Slide Show I did in the Virtual Music Studio. As part of this new interest in animation, I also converted the Carnegie Mellon University Graphics Lab Motion Capture Database so that it would work within Poser. This was over 2600 animations for characters covering a wide array of walking, sitting, dancing and other actions. I wrote a Python program to do this. Of course, this is all in the Blog if you are interested in it. The models are free to download at: http://www.sharecg.com/pf/full_uploads.php?pf_user_name=mojodallas |

9/3/2008: I have just finished doing a Slide Show Music Video, blogged about it and published it on You Tube. It was created in Poser and has about 80 images set to an original song I wrote with Ron Jones called, "For The Last Time". It was my first attempt with this software and it was more of a learning process than a slick piece of work. You can see it at http://www.youtube.com/user/mojoDallas. |
|
8/10/2008: I have a couple of more blog entries including one that have the Top 10 Tips for creating scenes in Poser. I also have a new scene in the Scene Gallery. It is called Jam Session and is part of my overall music video project. I sure have learned a lot working on the project and although somewhat frustrating, I enjoyed doing it. Also, I added an email me icon to this web page, so, you can get a hold of me if you want. |
| 7/15/2008: This past month I have added a lot of new content in terms of some of the modeling I have been doing. This includes a number of new blog entries. Also, I added four slide shows of family pictures in the "Year in Pictures" section. This covered the last four seasons. |
| 6/1/2008: Website launched. Check out all the content! |
| Welcome to my Website
This website is what is known in the trade as a me-me-me website. I wanted a place to be able to share family news and my hobbies with friends and family. The name of the site is mojoDallas because my nickname from being in blues bands has been Mojo and of course we live in Dallas/Fort Worth. We have been in Dallas for nearly 30 years now, hard to believe. I plan on updating this site on a regular basis. I have put a What's New section here on the home page, so, that you can see what is new since the last time you visited. So, check back often! From the family side of things, I will be posting as many photos of the family as I can. Also, I will be blogging about vacations and other family events. Sort of the Sutton Family Christmas Letter that I always send out except on a weekly basis. Lucky You! For hobbies, I will be giving you more information than you ever wanted to know about my exploration into computer graphics/art, 3D modelling, songwriting, animation videos, virtual worlds and computer gaming. In these hobbies, I am very active and prolific. What I may lack in quality, I make up for in quantity. Once again welcome and thanks for checking in. |
